COP 9 was a great success for RTCC. Alongside providing
all delegates and attendees with enough copies of RTCC for
each person, the group also provided 1000 eco-friendly bags
at the end of the conference to help delegates take home
as much information from the conference as possible. Encouraging
comments were received from many of the delegates, especially
concerning our external distribution and the use of the RTCC
CD ROM business cards.

RTCC's high profile
role at the UNFCCC Climate Change Kiosk helped articulate positions
from our member organisations, and ourselves, across the web
and to those at the meeting. Indeed, our side events held in
Milan also had a high profile, with government and industry representatives
attending and sparking lively debate on standards in emissions
trading at our first event of COP9 .
The second side event that RTCC undertook was webcast
by the UNFCCC on Wednesday 3rd December, and again had good
attendance and constructive debate.

Adam Bumpus of RTCC
was also interviewed by two Italian television networks (RAI
3 and TG4) and appeared on Italian television whilst COP9 was
in session. One of the interviews at the conference was caught
by the Earth Negotiations Bulletin (ENB) and was publicised on
their website for COP 9. This took place in front of the RTCC
Climate Change Mime Artist (Mr. Chris Channing) who drew in crowds
with his interpretation of various pieces of art from artists
such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Matisse, and Magritte.
