Do you want to be at the forefront of climate change journalism and report on one of the most compelling sectors in the world?
Leading climate news website RTCC is looking for a creative and talented English-language journalist to join its team in London covering the latest developments in the climate arena.
The successful applicant will be full of great story ideas, have excellent writing skills, one to two years’ experience in a newsroom environment and a sound understanding of how climate and energy issues interact.
The role involves breaking news, writing concise and lively stories, building relationships with key contacts and producing quality multimedia content.
We are looking for someone who will be equally at ease covering general news stories, producing analysis and writing features.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is essential
-Understanding and demonstrable interest in key climate and energy issues
-Experience of working in a real-time news environment
-Proven ability to develop story ideas
-Creative attitude to online journalism
-Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure
-Fluent English (both written and verbal) is essential
