RTCC’s Road to Rio Workshop

As the world prepares for Rio, why not take the chance to add your voice to the growing numbers of people calling for real, solid action towards a sustainable future.

Are you a student with an interest in development or the environment? Are you waiting with anticipation for the outcome of the Rio+20 conference this June? Do you have your own ideas about what the conference should achieve?

Come along to RTCC’s student focused Road to Rio Workshop, meet others interested in sustainable development including workshop mentors from different sectors involved in sustainable development including those from SOAS University, WWF and CAfOD.

The aim of the workshop is to come up with your own Sustainable Development Goals to be shown on the RTCC Website and at the conference itself.

It aims to give you a voice, the opportunity to further your interest in sustainable development and the chance to have a good debate about what you feel the conference in June should achieve.

We will be address the two key themes of the Rio+20 conference, sustainable development and the green economy.

We aim to cover a wide range of topics from equity – both intra- and inter-generational equity, to the balance of society, the economy and the environment, from sustainable resource management to the value of ecosystems.

The workshop will be a great opportunity to meet with like-minded students, and learn more about sustainable development while sharing your own ideas and views.
