Governments need to wake up and realise that climate change is now a national security issue and a risk to global well-being, a senior Greenpeace advisor has told RTCC.
“We have to take this question of political will back to capitals and ask governments to respond to the increasing demands of their people to protect them, said Ruth Davis, Chief Policy Advisor for Greenpeace UK.
“This is a national security risk, a risk to their well-being.”
“It is neccessary that governments come here [to climate conferences] with a mandate to deal with that.”
