In September 2012 around 80000 people in more than 180 Belgian cities and communities sang the song “Do it Now”, urging politicians to do more to address climate change.
It was the brainchild of film director Nic Balthazar – who then decided to head to the UN climate talks in Doha and sing to the international negotiators and politicians at the Qatar National Conference Centre.
And so on Friday 7 December 150 campaigners assembled beneath the Maman steel spider sculpture designed by Louise Bourgeois and ‘sang for the climate’, hoping to break a deadlock in the negotiations.
RTCC’s Daniel Schweimler donned his choir-boy outfit and joined the party.
